About Us & Purpose

This website is for all Sterling, KS High School alumni, faculty, and staff to have ameans to communicate ant learn about all SHS alumni events and news. Alden / Raymond alumni are also included.

The website was developed as a means to communicate information on upcoming reunions and alumni events. The first all-school SHS reunion was held in 2012, as a reunion of graduating classes of the ‘60s. It has evolved to include other years, and now is held every 3 years as an all-school reunion. The original SHS reunion planning committee for this event consists mostly of members from the ‘60s. Reunions may not seem to be of great importance in the early years following graduation, but as we become older, many alumni feel the need to re-connect.

We would like to encourage ALL alumni to be involved in planning future reunion events. Although this website was designed to help facilitate and communicate the all-school reunions, as a member of a particular class, please feel free to use this website to communicate individual class reunions and other SHS alumni events.

As stated previously, the current planning committee consists of primarily members from earlier graduating classes. This is an appeal to members of younger classes to get involved and participate in planning future reunions. We need volunteer assistance in all areas. Please reach out via the ‘Volunteer’ page.
